The first days of school always feel a little strange. You spend weeks living in a completely different rhythm and then suddenly you’re back in the same classroom, sitting in almost the same place, seeing the same faces... like someone just pressed play again.
Seeing my classmates was probably the nicest part. Some people changed a little, some not at all. Same jokes. Same voices. Same little groups forming again in like five minutes 😭 And honestly, after the first few awkward moments, it felt like we had never really left.
Everything starts again so quickly. Teachers, schedules, alarms way too early, backpacks, random conversations during breaks... all the things I definitely did not miss in August suddenly feel normal again.
I think that’s the weirdest thing about school. You can spend months thinking you want something different, something new, and then you walk back into that classroom and there’s something almost comforting about everything being exactly where you left it.
I’m not saying I’m already in my perfect student era because... absolutely not 😂 But for now, I’m just enjoying seeing everyone again and slowly getting back into the routine.
How did your first days back feel? Exciting, stressful, boring... or a mix of everything? Tell me in the comments 🤍
