There is something about being in a pool that always makes my brain go somewhere else. I can be laughing, swimming, taking photos, doing absolutely nothing... and then suddenly I’m floating there staring at the sky and thinking about my entire life. Very casual lol. Maybe it’s the silence when my ears go under the water. Everything outside becomes distant for a few seconds. Voices disappear, my phone doesn’t exist, nobody needs anything from me. It’s just me, the water and whatever is happening inside my head. And lately... there is a lot happening there.
I think about Spain. About how strange it is that something we talked about as a family is slowly becoming something that could actually change our lives. I imagine different mornings, different streets, the sea being part of normal life instead of something connected only to vacations. 🇪🇸 Then obviously my brain does its favorite thing and starts asking a thousand questions. Will I love it? Will I miss Italy? Will I feel at home there? Who will I become in a place where almost everything around me is new?
Then I think about this little world I’ve created online too. About you. About how completely surreal it still feels sometimes that people so far away know pieces of my days, watch my videos, read my thoughts and somehow decide to stay. Sometimes I wonder what you actually see when you look at me. Because a photo by the pool can look so simple. Bikini, sun, blue water, smile. Perfect summer vibe. But inside that exact photo I could be thinking about my family, my future, something that scared me yesterday, a stupid message I’m overthinking... or what I’m going to eat twenty minutes later because yes, I’m still me 😂
Pools also make me think about time. Maybe because summer always feels endless while you’re inside it, and then suddenly it’s gone. I’m young and sometimes I want everything to happen immediately. Travel. Experiences. New places. New people. Everything. Then there are these moments where I just float there and think... why am I rushing so much?
Maybe I don’t need to know exactly where everything is going yet.
Maybe some days can just be water on my skin, warm sun on my face, wet hair, music somewhere in the background and absolutely no plan for the next hour.
And honestly... I think I need more moments like that.
Where does your mind go when everything around you finally becomes quiet? Tell me below. I’m curious if I’m the only one who can turn a peaceful afternoon by the pool into a full existential crisis. 🤍
